We are proud to announce that we have launched a granular user permission structure, which is a huge leap from our existing permissions module.
This feature is now available in Labs. We urge you to enable the feature in Labs, try it, and give us your feedback.
What’s New?
– Agency and Sub-Account admins can apply granular permissions to their users.
– This structure also brings a new user interface and end-to-end experience for adding users and setting their permissions.
– The new permissions structure is backward compatible with the current set of permission structures and their functionalities.
– Copy Permissions: Agency and Sub-location admins can copy a user’s granular permissions to another user. For example, when Bob joins the sales team, the admin can clone Alex’s permissions to Bob.
– Ability to restrict agency admin to specific sub-accounts: Agency admins can assign agency admins to specific sub-accounts and restrict them from accessing other sub-accounts to which they are not assigned. For example, when Alex, who is an agency admin, can now access only assigned sub-accounts A, B, and C, without compromising his access level.
Why is this necessary?
– Agencies and locations have significant customer data and proprietary assets they would like to protect.
– Different members of an SMB’s team, such as sales and marketing, have different skill sets. Admins would like to ensure that these users have access only to CRM modules relevant to their work.
– Sub-locations don’t want two sales members to access each others’ leads
– Agencies may have different account managers for different locations and hence may want to restrict the account managers’ access to their assigned locations only.
Each of these use cases requires a granular level of permission definition to achieve its security/management objective. This feature enables our customers to achieve that.
